Overall Specifications
- This will be a module on the Magento platform. It is currently version 2.4.3-p1 on Adobe Cloud and is expected to be forward compatible within reason.
- Current php version is 7.4 but will likely move to 8.1 within 6 months
- No Credit Card information can be stored on the Magento server.
- The module will need to interface via API to the Worldpay Element gateway to Authorize the card and collect tokenization information to send to the ERP for capture later. Blue Stingray will handle sending the information to the ERP
- The current site uses the Aheadworks One Step Checkout module so the payment module will need to be compatible
- This is a rush project and will need to be completed ASAP, preferably within the next two weeks.
Background
Worldpay has several divisions and when they onboard new ecommerce clients, they now use the WPG gateway, which is what current Magento extensions provide support for. Unfortunately, the client's ERP interfaces with an outdated gateway called the Element gateway. Because they will need to collect the authorized amounts at the time of shipping, both systems need to be connected to the same gateway.
