Responsibilities:
Improve page loading speed by optimizing images, employing Gzip compression, enabling JavaScript and CSS concatenation and minification, and utilizing a CDN.
Set up and configure caching, ideally Varnish.
Optimize the database by regularly cleaning logs and employing an indexed database.
Ensure the site is accessible, including making all interactive elements keyboard-accessible, using alt tags for all images, and ensuring text color has sufficient contrast with the background.
Implement semantic HTML tags to help screen readers understand the content.
Ensure the site uses HTTPS for a secure connection.
Improve SEO by providing detailed and unique product descriptions and correctly setting up metadata for each page.
Ensure the site is easy to navigate, with a clear link structure and user-friendly navigation bar.
