Magento 2 - Smile-SA ElasticSuite with Custom Theme
Budget: £50 – £100 GBP
This relates to the installation, configuration, styling and resolving of a couple of bugs in relation to getting ElasticSuite to work with our M2 installation and custom theme.
The correct freelancer will have:
• Proven experience as a Magento 2 developer
• Previous experience with Smile-SA ElasticSuite
• Able to document all tweaks and changed required

We have tried to install ElasticSuite on our M2 2.4.3-p1 installation and custom theme. In relation to that there are 3 known issues that you need to resolve beyond what else might come up as to be able to finalize this project.
1. After installing ElasticSuite, the theme’s existing search box is “not styled” and just shows product titles with no other information. We want it to look like it did with the themes integrated search/ajax extension MageWorkx (https://www.mageworx.com/magento-2-search-autocomplete-free.html) and to have a similar configuration (either by UI as seen on product page or a simple configuration within the core file).
2. After installing ElasticSuite, we are seeing an error in our log files while updating search indexes. From Googling this it might be related to a custom attribute failing to index due to maybe special characters or the format. In case that the case, we need help to find out which attribute this is and to understand why so that we can fix and remove this error.
CRITICAL: Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/public_html/vendor/smile/elasticsuite/src/module-elasticsuite-catalog/Helper/AbstractAttribute.php on line 228
3. After installing ElasticSuite, our themes front page is not showing any data (just an error that something went wrong). All other pages look at glance to work as normal. The bellow error message might or might not be related to that issue. In either case, we need you to debug the cause and help fix the code as needed.

You will work on a copy of our store, so you need to be able to document and track all tweaks and changes so that we can apply this to our live store later.
