Magento 2 Checkout Page Redesign (Hyvä-Based Theme)

Description:
I’m looking for a skilled Magento 2 frontend developer to redesign the checkout page for a store using a custom theme that extends the Hyvä theme. We’re using the default Luma checkout (Knockout-based), and the goal is to customize its layout and styling to match our desired design.

Scope of work:

Modify checkout_index_index.xml to reposition or remove elements (e.g., sidebar, progress bar)

Insert custom blocks using containers like <referenceContainer name="after.body.start">

Style the checkout page to match our branding

Ensure compatibility with our custom Hyvä-based theme

Apply changes to a specific store view (e.g., PDQ) if needed

Requirements:

Strong experience with Magento 2 layout XML and theme fallback

Familiar with Hyvä and Luma checkout structure

Ability to work independently and deliver clean, well-tested code
