We are seeking an experienced Magento 2 developer to set up and deploy a new e-commerce website using Magento Open Source 2.4.8. This is a full-stack project, so the ideal candidate should be proficient in both frontend and backend development.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration: Perform a clean installation of Magento 2.4.8 on our server. This includes configuring the core system and database.
Theme & Design: Install and customize a responsive theme to match our brand guidelines.
Extension Setup: Install, configure, and integrate necessary third-party extensions (e.g., payment gateways, shipping methods).
Data Import: Import product data, categories, and other content. We'll provide the assets and data.
Performance Optimization: Implement caching (Varnish, Redis), optimize images, and configure settings to achieve high PageSpeed scores.
Deployment: Final deployment to a production environment.
Post-Launch Support: Provide a minimum of 7 days of support for bug fixes and minor issues.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience with Magento 2.4.8, including setup and deployment of new stores.
Strong knowledge of PHP 8.3/8.4, MariaDB 11.4 or MySQL 8.4, and Composer 2.8.
Experience with server environments (Linux, Apache/Nginx) and caching technologies (Varnish, Redis).
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHTML.
Experience with search technologies like OpenSearch 2 is a must, as it's required for Magento 2.4.8.
A portfolio demonstrating successful Magento 2 projects.
