Objective:
Develop a macOS desktop application that detects the text input cursor's position, overlays a visual indicator ("blob") near the cursor, and injects a predefined mock paragraph into the input field upon activation via a global shortcut. The project prioritizes core functionality, extensible code design, and seamless compatibility with macOS apps over visual design.
Key Features:
Cursor Awareness:Detect and track the position of the text input cursor across macOS applications and browsers.
Ensure compatibility with input fields in apps like Notion, Obsidian, and browser-based websites.
Interactive Visual Indicator (Blob):Dynamic Positioning: The blob will appear near the cursor and update dynamically as the cursor moves.
Interaction Features:Display processing statuses such as "Processing", "Success", "Typing", and "Error" during dictation or mock input injection.
Maintain a history of recently typed or injected text.
Provide a way to modify the injected text directly from the blob interface.
Notifications can be reviewed and dismissed through the blob.
Mock Input Injection:Simulate dictation by injecting a predefined, randomized paragraph into the active input field.
Allow for editing or modifying the injected text directly via the blob.
Shortcut Activation:Activate the app and initiate dictation or mock text injection using a global keyboard shortcut.
Error Handling:Display relevant error messages or troubleshooting notifications in the blob if something goes wrong (e.g., unsupported input field).
