macOS App Code Signing & Notarization Help (Developer ID / Keychain Issue)

Project Description:

I need an experienced macOS developer / build engineer to successfully code sign and notarize my macOS desktop app.

About the App:

Platform: macOS

App type: Python Tkinter app packaged as .app (via PyInstaller)

Output: .app (and optionally .dmg)

Goal: App should open on macOS without Gatekeeper warnings (Notarized Developer ID)

Current Problem

I have a Developer ID Application certificate with a valid private key and active Apple Developer account.

However:

codesign consistently fails with:

errSecInternalComponent
Warning: unable to build chain to self-signed root

This persists even after:

Recreating certificates

Re-importing keys

Fixing keychain ACLs

Setting key partition lists

Trusting Apple Root + Developer ID CA at system level

This appears to be a macOS Keychain corruption / signing environment issue, not an app code issue.

What I Need

I am looking for someone who can take over the signing & notarization and deliver:

Properly signed & notarized .app or .dmg

App opens without:

“App can’t be opened”

“Developer cannot be verified”

Gatekeeper blocks

What I Can Provide

Built .app file (PyInstaller output)

Source code (cant do even if needed)

Apple Developer access via:

Temporary team invite OR

App Store Connect API key

App-specific password for notarization

I will NOT share my Apple ID password.

Required Skills

macOS code signing & notarization

Apple Developer Program

codesign, notarytool, stapler

Experience with:

Python / PyInstaller apps OR

macOS app packaging

Familiarity with Keychain issues

Timeline:

Immediate

Prefer someone who can start today

Priority is getting this working correctly, not cutting corners

Important Note:

This is not a beginner task.
I am specifically looking for someone who has successfully notarized macOS apps before and understands Apple’s signing pipeline deeply.
