VSCODE Git Path

Hi,
I need someone who is good at trouble shooting machines and fixing problems.
I have a Mac, I need someone to resolve some issues.
1) I cant see the version control/source control icon on the left hand side anymore and cannot seem to commit anything to Git. As you can see in the screen shot I get the following error:
"Unable to find a Git executable. Either: Set the Visual Studio Code Setting "git.path" to the path and filename of an existing Git executable, or install Git and restart Visual Studio Code."
I need someone to fix the path & have the icon showing on the left again.
