Simple application for macOS that controls apps sound levels
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Hi! My name is Jakub, and I am a co-founder of a project called ‘modue audio’.
Me and my friends are students from Poland and now we are going to develop our product connected with internal system audio handling. We are looking for a software engineer who will be able to cooperate with us. We need a simple application that will work similarly to the Windows volume mixer, but on MAC OS.
We're looking for someone who can develop a macOS backend for an existing Electron application.
Your job would be to create software that integrates with our API and makes calls to the macOS sound subsystem - we have a solution for Windows, but this is a very platform specific thing.
The functionality that we would need includes:
- Getting a list of apps installed on the system - we also need their icons to be displayed in our application.
- Controlling the volume of individual processes. This means processes started both before and after the launch of the application.
- Getting the current peak volume level for a process playing audio - think volume visualizer, with a single channel or split to left/right.
We shall send more details along with a visual representation of what the Electron app looks like should you decide to take up this offer.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you.
