build me a photo measurement tool for a research study in foot biomechanics -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I'm running a research project which requires me to measure specific dimensions of feet from still photos. Filmed from above, using an A4 paper (placed at wall with heel against wall) as a standard size for reference. I'm looking to automate the process of capturing specific measurements including
length - heel to longest toe, width at metatarsal heads, width at distal toe joints.
This can be calculated manually using the ratio of measurements to standard paper but is time consuming. It needs to be accurate to pick up functional changes of the forefoot/toe movements. The width measurements are angled due to the shape of the foot and need to be compared at the mid point of the line measured to the paper width to avoid inaccuracies generated by projection. I've uploaded a step by step outline of how the measurements could be achieved but need the code written to do this.
