AI Wardrobe Outfit Recommender
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
For my capstone, I’m building a web-based tool that lets users upload photos of their clothes, automatically tags each item, and then proposes complete outfits—with a brief explanation of why the pieces work together. I already have the concept mapped out; what I need is hands-on development help to turn it into a functioning MERN-stack prototype.
Core functionality I must see in the finished app:
• A convolutional (or comparable) model that classifies every garment by type, colour, and style once the image is uploaded.
• A hybrid recommendation engine that blends straightforward rules (e.g., colour harmony) with learned patterns so suggestions stay fresh and personalised.
• A concise explanation layer so the user knows the reasoning behind each outfit, surfaced through a small chatbot-style panel built into the interface.
• A clean web UI—React on the front end, Node/Express and MongoDB on the back—where users can add, browse, and get outfit ideas from their wardrobe.
I’ll supply a representative image set and any copy you need. You handle data prep, model training, integration, and deployment to a free tier or local host so I can demonstrate it live. Clear, well-commented code and a short read-me are the only extras I require; beyond that, creativity is welcome.
