Use computer vision to identify parts in manufacturing

We are a manufacturing company. We make automotive floor mats with professional and collegiate sports team logos. We use components called "logo inserts" in our production process. These are roughly 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) squares with team logos. We have an automated gluing station that picks up these logo inserts and glues them into blank car mats. We are looking for a developer to help us identify the item numbers for the logo inserts by taking a photo of the component and matching it to our existing library of approximately 250 different items. If this project works successfully we have several additional projects that can be solved with similar skills, so there is an opportunity for a longer term collaboration with us.
