AI-Based Solutions for Solar Power Plant O&M
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Data Scientist / AI Engineer to support the development of an AI-based digital portal focused on advanced Solar Power Plant Operation & Maintenance (O&M).
Project Scope
The freelancer will work closely with our O&M and engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions for large-scale solar plants (100 MW+).
Key Responsibilities
Predictive Maintenance (Core Requirement)
Develop ML models for:
Inverter failure prediction
Transformer & switchgear health monitoring
DC string degradation & anomaly detection
Use SCADA, weather, inverter logs, and historical breakdown data
Output: Failure probability, RUL (Remaining Useful Life), alerts
Thermography Analytics (Drone & Fixed Camera)
AI-based analysis of:
Drone thermal images (modules, strings, combiner boxes)
Substation thermography (fixed thermal cameras)
Defect classification:
Hotspots, diode failure, connector issues, corrosion, imbalance
Automatic severity ranking & maintenance recommendation
Spare Parts Prediction & Inventory Optimization
Predict spare consumption for:
Inverters, PCBs, fans, fuses, connectors, sensors
Optimize:
Minimum stock levels
Failure-based spare forecasting
Reduce emergency procurement & downtime
AI-Based O&M Portal Development
Support backend analytics & intelligence layer
Work with:
Web dashboard team (Power BI / Grafana / custom UI)
Features:
Health index dashboards
Risk-based maintenance planning
KPI tracking (PR loss, availability loss, MTBF)
