The purpose of this project is to explore the use of reinforcement learning in an important
application area of container shipping. Container shipping requires highly optimized
operations at shipping ports to handle the loading and unloading of cargo. Even though the
application area may seem very different from the pathfinder application we discussed in class
it is fundamentally the same.
