License Plate Recognition System for Parking Management in Morocco +
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Purpose:
- The purpose of this project is to develop a license plate recognition system specifically for parking management in Morocco.
Requirements:
- Ability to recognize multiple plates at once: The system should be able to accurately identify and record multiple license plates simultaneously.
- Night vision functionality: The system should have the capability to capture clear images and recognize license plates even in low-light or nighttime conditions.
- Ability to recognize foreign plates: The system should be able to recognize and process license plates from different countries.
Timeframe:
- The project needs to be completed as soon as possible, with a sense of urgency.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in developing license plate recognition systems.
- Proficiency in image processing and computer vision algorithms.
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques for pattern recognition.
- Familiarity with different license plate formats and international standards.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in languages such as Angular, Python or C++.
- Strong skills in electronics for opening automatic barriers.
Technical Specifications:
• Backend Development: Python3 will be the primary language, with MongoDB serving as the database to support big data.
• Data Manipulation Libraries: Pandas, NumPy
• Backend Framework: Python Flask will be the REST API backend framework
• AI and Video Analytics: The project will utilize the YOLOv7 or YOLOv8 deep learning model for vehicle and number plate detection. PaddleOCR will be employed for text recognition, especially for Arabic keywords.
• Frontend Development: The user interface will be developed using Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, based on provided Figma designs.
• Security: Oauth2 protocol Authentication with JSON Webtokens and SSL optional if certificate and static ip address provided
• Database: MongoDB

1) This application requires bilingual French and English Front end User Interface
2) REST API needed so external websites can access it
3) Static IP, proper firewall and networking is required for above to function
