AI Land Measurement Tool Development
Budget: $30 – $250 NZD
I need a lightweight AI-powered application that takes an aerial or satellite image of a parcel and returns precise land-measurement data. The focus is reliable land measuring, so the model must automatically detect the plot, outline its perimeter, and calculate key metrics.
The tool must handle:
• Area calculation for any detected parcel
• Boundary detection that traces exact edges, even from noisy imagery
• Topographical mapping to highlight elevation changes or slope information
My ideal workflow is simple: I upload an image—whether a drone shot, orthomosaic, or public satellite tile—and receive a branded, Printable PDF that displays the map, the traced boundary, and the calculated stats.
Feel free to choose your own stack (Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, OpenCV, QGIS, or other GIS libraries) as long as the final solution is easy for a non-technical user to run on a standard Windows machine. A clean, minimal interface is fine; accuracy and processing speed are the priorities.
Deliverables
1. Source code and any trained models
2. Executable or hosted demo that ingests an image and outputs the PDF report
3. Brief setup guide and user manual
I will validate the results against existing survey data, expecting ±5 % tolerance on area and a clearly aligned boundary overlay. Let’s discuss timelines and milestones once you’re confident you can meet these requirements.
