AI / ML Idea Challenge for Utility “Meter-to-Cash” (M2C) Process — SAP IS-U Environment (Non-S/4)

I’m exploring AI and automation opportunities across the Meter-to-Cash (M2C) lifecycle in the utilities industry, covering everything from meter reading → billing → collections → customer service.
We currently work with a SAP ERP system (SAP IS-U on HANA database) — a classic utilities platform that handles end-to-end customer, billing, and metering processes. We are not on S/4.
Our goal is to identify practical AI or ML use cases that can deliver measurable business value without needing a full S/4HANA migration. Ideas should focus on augmenting or integrating AI externally (dashboards, predictive analytics, automation tools, etc.) rather than embedded SAP AI features.
