AI-GIS Mapping Prototype for School Project

Job ID: 39791358

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

Project Overview:

We need a very simple and low-cost prototype for a GIS and AI-based mapping project under India’s Forest Rights Act (FRA), 2006. This is just a proof of concept — fast, lightweight, and minimal. This is for a school project.

Scope of Work (2 Tasks):
1. AI-Based Asset Mapping (Very Basic)

Use basic computer vision / ML to identify from satellite imagery:

-Agricultural land

-Forest cover

-Water bodies (ponds, streams)

-Homesteads

You can use Sentinel-2, Google Earth, or other free satellite sources.
Basic models like Random Forest, simple CNN — no high accuracy needed.
Output: labeled map (or GeoTIFF/shapefile) with basic classification.

2. WebGIS Viewer (Minimal Frontend)

Develop a very basic interactive map to display:

Layers: village boundaries, detected land-use, and assets

Filters: by state/district/village

FRA progress (just dummy data for now)

You can use Leaflet, OpenLayers, or Mapbox.
Simple toggle on/off layers, clickable village boundaries.
Host locally or on free tier (GitHub Pages, Vercel, etc.)

Deliverables:

AI-detected asset map (GeoTIFF or Shapefile + image)

WebGIS demo with interactive layers and filters

Clean, well-commented code + README
