Context: generate artificial image streams
(as a test tool for underwater mapping
algorithms)
Tasks:
1. given a large underwater image (e.g.,
5000 x 4000 pixel)
2. specify trajectories, i.e., sequences of 2D
poses via, e.g., line and arc segments
that are subdivided (e.g. every 10 pixel
along the line/arc is 1 pose)
3. take (much) smaller sub-images at each
pose (e.g., 300 x 200 image)
4. add parameterized artificial degradations
to the images
