I’m refining a beta-VAE that reconstructs high-resolution fundus images and, right now, the results still miss the fine vascular details and subtle colour gradients rely on. My primary goal is to raise reconstruction quality.
The project is already running in PyTorch with a working training script with a small fundus-image dataset, but is not doing well.
Here’s what I’d like from you:
• Regular screen-share sessions where we walk through code, experiment logs and new ideas.
Teach me good debugging and coding principles
• Actionable recommendations I can implement between calls—learning-rate changes, augmentation steps, custom metrics, etc.
• A brief written summary after each session so both of us stay aligned on next steps.
