Android Live Face Verification App

Job ID: 39825597

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m building an Android application that plugs into the VFS Global appointment-booking flow and I need help completing the critical face-verification piece.

The core task is a robust, real-time liveness check that can reliably confirm the user is present, not a photo or video replay. I’d like the liveness routine to trigger automatically as soon as the front-facing camera detects a face, then return a clear pass / fail flag that I can log and forward to the VFS Global API.

Beyond that central module, the app will also handle two supporting flows:
• Appointment scheduling – the user should be able to view slots pulled from VFS Global and lock in a time without leaving the app.
• User authentication – I have not fixed a method yet, so feel free to recommend the most secure approach. Email-password, biometrics or multi-factor are all possibilities as long as they integrate smoothly with the liveness logic.

Key points I want to see in your delivery:
1. Source-code for Android (Kotlin or Java) with clean architecture.
2. Liveness detection built with a proven library or custom model (ML Kit, OpenCV, or your suggestion) and benchmarked for false-accept / false-reject rates.
3. Seamless hand-off of verified session data to the VFS Global endpoints.
4. A short README that lets me compile, run and test the whole workflow on a recent Android device.

If you have previous work in face recognition, anti-spoofing or secure booking apps, please share a short demo or code sample when you reply. I’m aiming to move fast once I see the right fit.
