Lightweight World of Warcraft Custom UI
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I want to overhaul my World of Warcraft interface and ditch ElvUI entirely so the game runs leaner on both CPU and memory. The project is to assemble a custom, modular UI that keeps every feature I rely on—slick action bars, clean unit frames, an uncluttered minimap, full WeakAuras support, and a chat window that still delivers all combat and loot details—while staying as light as possible.
Everything needs to be written in native Lua/XML or other lightweight libraries (oUF or similar) rather than heavy, all-in-one frameworks. Visual polish matters, but efficient code matters more: during a 20-man raid pull I should not see the addon CPU column spike the way ElvUI does.
Deliverables
• AddOn folders ready to drop into …/_retail_/Interface/AddOns
• Any SavedVariables or WTF profile files pre-configured for a 1920×1080 layout
• A brief install & update guide (plain text or PDF)
• One short video or a few screenshots proving it loads error-free and keeps CPU usage low in combat (use /fstack or the in-game profiler)
Acceptance criteria
• No dependency on ElvUI (or derivatives)
• Action Bars, Unit Frames, Minimap, WeakAuras integration, and Chat all function as shown in the preview
• In a 5-minute raid combat log, CPU usage per addon stays below 2 % on a mid-range system
• No LUA errors on login, reload, or boss pull
If you have built performance-focused UIs before, your insights into further optimizations are welcome. Let me know what additional information you need—class layouts, color schemes, or WeakAura strings—and I’ll provide it right away.
