Wether station using LoRa WAN Mesh, ESP32/S3 and solar charger
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hi all,
This is a HW (hardware) and FW (firmware) project.
You will be requested to develop two proof-of-concept hand-made PCBs and program the ESP32-S3 with LoRa with a solar charger and delivever me 5 working boards.
You will have to buy and pay the components yourself (no payment in advance for that) and you will be paid the project when I receive the PCBs and tested that they work.
Bidding:
- The project will have therefore just ONE milestone.
- You will bid ONLY for your development (HW and FW): after chatting and having agreed on everything, you will tell me the cost of the electronic part, and these will be ADDED to your bid for development. This will be the project cpreis that I will award you.
- Please DO NOT bid if you don't agree with these conditions.
There will be 2 different types of boards: "A" (5 units) and "B" (1 unit).
Connections will be: computer <--> pcb "A" <--> pcb "B"
- Board "A" will be a wheather station containing
* LoRa SoC (Europe frequency) with a +3 dBm antenna
* ESP32-S3 (important, NOT the S2 model)
* Temp, humidity, pressure, Accelerometer and compass sensors: GY-273, MPU-6050, MPU-9250, BMI160, LSM303DLHC, L3G4200D, HMC5883L, ADXL335 and LIS3DSH

* Real time clock (RTC) like the DS3231 or similar
* The remaining free unused analog and digital I/O will be exposed on a connector
* two USB connectors (usb1 and usb2)
* It will be powered computer or power bank over USB (usb1 and usb2 indistinctly)
- Board "B" will be a solar power cell containing
* ESP32-CAM module
* Usb connector (usb3) to connect over cable to pcb "A" (usb2)
* Solar cell to power up the ESP32-CAM and to powerd pcb "A" as well as recharging the power bank (usb1)
The FW will provide:
- Arduino IDE code
- Computer can communicate bidirectionally only to board "A" over the USB port (usb1)
- pcb "A" can communicate bidirectionally both with the computer (usb1) and pcb "B" (usb2)
- pcb "B" will send video or images to pcb "A" (depending on a command) over usb3
- pcb "B" will go on sleep mode or wake up depending on a command
- pcb "A" will receive video or images from pcb "B" over usb2 and send to the computer over usb1
- pcb "A" will be able to read the SD card of the ESP32-CAM on pcb "B" over usb2
- pcb "A" will be transmitting sensor data (wether it is connected to a computer or not) over LoRa using the protocol LoRa WAN Mesh
Important:
- LoRa can be developed and tested on your side with any other LoRa module BUT the 5 boards will be delivered with the Europe module.
- Sensor data will be transmitted over LoRa using the protocol LoRa WAN Mesh (important, MESH): this has to be demonstrated by adding/removing nodes to the network and showing the routing on a serial monitor
- Before you prepare the 5 PCBs and send them, you will have to demonstrate the implementation of all the abovementioned requirements on video and on a live chat (TeamViewer or similar)
- The IP of the project will remain of mine once I have paid you for the project on termination, and you agree herefore to not disclose any detail (NDA)
- This is a proof of concept. If you perform well, the project will get improoved and you will be hired for a long term project to bring theese boards to the market
- Please DO NOT bid if you don't agree with these conditions.
