logo design

Hello! I'm looking for a designer to create a new logo for our Civil Air Patrol squadron. Civil Air Patrol is a 501(c) non-profit organization; it is also the volunteer auxiliary of the Air Force, which in turn means there are some specific design criteria to meet. We want to update our current logo (which can be seen on our website at topekaeagle.cap.gov) both to bring it in line with those criteria, and also to give us a 'proper' scalable electronic logo - the logo we have is actually a picture of an embroidered patch. Being located in Kansas, we would like our logo to use the blue and yellow hues of the Kansas state flag. Attached are the basic design we have settled on (quick draft in PowerPoint), and examples of other squadron logos in the state.
