Update or redesign my logo

I lost (a while ago) the original PSD's of my current logo, as well as the fact that the current logo is a bit dated. I would like someone to review the log, try to make it with a transparant layer and maybe update it a bit. Keyword for the graphic/text is 'fusion'. Current logo is attached.

I am not affiliated to/with www.fusiontek.com !! I am an indepent consultant, based in Europe ... my logo was created in 2007.
