Help revamp our logo!
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
My name is Derek and I am the "pipe sergeant" of the Calgary Fire Department pipes and drums band. We are all career or retired firefighters for the city and we have a pretty great group of people that practice hard to sound good for community events and funeral services for fallen firefighters all across North America.
Our logo is 20 years old now, and like any 20 year old, we want to be cool! But in reality, as we upgrade our "kit" or uniform we are running into issues. Our current logo cannot be embroidered into a hat or a toque or a t-shirt because it is too tall and the writing inside the hose wont stitch well.
Our band members have been pioneers in western Canada for emergency services pipe bands, many bands have started from our example. Alot of fire department logos can be quite similar, so I'm reaching out to this community for some outside perspective!
Some of the influences in our band are:
-mountains, we are very close to them
-proud Canadians
-firefighters
-this is our 20th anniversary
-Any Text would have to be "Calgary Fire Pipes & Drums"
We are not married to any of the things in particular on our Logo. Like I said, I'm looking for something fresh that I can take to the membership! What I am NOT looking for is bagpipes with flames shooting out of them. We want something classy and fresh, that will embroider well. If you search anything fire department pipe band related you will notice that things can be quite similar, I want to step out of that box.
