Aimed at strengthening partnership with the ECO CAPACITY EXCHANGE-Djibouti, it will frame the government’s stability and digital economic and development strategy. ❖ THE DIGITAL ECONOMY FOR DJIBOUTI INITIATIVE
The Digital Economic Transformation of Djibouti Forum Initiative for (DEToD) aims to ensure that every individual, SOE and Private sector businesses, and the government in Djibouti will be digitally enabled by 2035 in support of the President of Republic of Djibouti’s 2035 Vision “Digital Transformation Strategy for Djibouti.”
Djibouti should think big on digital development. At the current, incremental pace of economic and social advancement, too many of Djiboutian, expanding youth population will be denied the opportunity to live up to their potential.
Digital technologies offer a chance to disrupt this trajectory – unlocking new pathways for rapid economic growth, innovation, job creation and access to services which would have been unimaginable only a decade ago. Yet there is also a growing ‘digital divide’, and increased cyber risks, which need urgent and coordinated action to mitigate.
