Creative Company Logo Design (Image & Text)
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
We are looking to commission black and white logo (Image + Company Name) for a small whisky company - WHISKY STATION. The project is looking for a creative approach to create a logo which will be used on social media, business cards and letterheads. The logo will aim to play on the name of the company, and will combine elements associated with Whisky, with old stations and trains.
Image Style: Black and White / Stencil / Pencil-Charcoal Look (Copper colour is also suitable)
Company Name: Whisky Station (“Ltd.” can be included or omitted from logo based on designer’s preference)
Font for text elements: Not defined yet. Ideally, clear and concise. E.g. Gotham Pro Bold / Serif (Not Display or Script. I.e. no Calligraphy style)

The main logo image will combine the images of whisky and old trains/stations (examples attached):
The three most recognizable elements related to whisky companies are: a Glencairn shaped glass, whisky casks and the pagoda roofs used in old distilleries.
The three elements which we consider suitable from Train/Station side are: a Locomotive train (view from the front), an old style station bell, and rails.
Due to the geometric similarities of the Glencairn whisky glass to the rail bell, and the locomotive front view- it is likely that the logo can be based on a modification of the images to combine the Glencairn Glass with the rail elements. However, it is important not to make an excessively over-engineered design. (Casks have some geometric similarities – but not from their more recognizable side-view)
The final design will have output three formats:
1. A Picture only version of the logo (No Text) suitable for Instagram & Facebook.
I.e. Logo without name should fit into the following proportions:
2. A stand-alone stamp-like version with Logo in centre, and company name over or under it in an encircling fashion.
3. A letterhead version with the central image of the Logo followed by the name of the company to the right/ under it.
We are looking for a creative professional who can work with us to confirm a design concept with us, and arrive at a finished product.
