B2C Brand Rebranding & Rejuvenation
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
Overview
This project focuses on rebranding an existing consumer product to improve its story, messaging, and visual identity. It involves two key steps:
Strategic Branding – Defining the brand’s core idea, mission, and competitive positioning.
Visual Identity – Creating a fresh and cohesive look, including logos, packaging, and social media assets.
Your Task
Choose an existing B2C brand that has problems and needs improvement.
Develop a branding strategy and execute a full visual identity redesign.
Use Adobe tools only (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Express, Firefly, etc.).
AI-generated content is allowed but no logo templates.
Avoid strong, established brands (e.g., Burger King, Chanel) and personal business projects.
Project Phases & Deliverables
Phase 1: Brand Unpacking
Goal: Assess the brand’s current state and identify key issues.
Visual documentation of the brand’s presence (social media, packaging, store displays, etc.).
Written analysis of the target audience, brand messaging, and storytelling.
Comparison with at least one competitor.
Critical review of branding elements (logos, typography, colors, etc.).
Visual mark-ups highlighting weak areas.
Deliverable: A digital branding analysis report (PDF format).
Phase 2: Rebranding Pitch
Goal: Develop a new branding concept and strategy.
Define the BIG IDEA behind your rebrand (short & long versions).
Create a new logo (or refined version) with design rationale.
Develop new taglines, packaging, product mock-ups, and merchandise.
Establish new branding elements (color palettes, typography, imagery style).
Craft a social media campaign strategy (preferred platforms, audience targeting).
Present a lookbook/storyboards for social media content.
Deliverable: A professional pitch deck (PDF format) explaining your rebrand.
Phase 3: Visual Identity Marketing Campaign
Goal: Execute and finalize the rebranding campaign.
Produce a 10-20 second video ad (live-action or motion graphics, 16:9 format for YouTube).
Create 3-6 social media posts/reels (using Adobe Express & Firefly).
Compile the best parts from Phases 1 & 2 into a final branding package.
Deliverable: A comprehensive branding package (PDF + video files).
