De-rack & Ship Datacenter Gear from Miami
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have eight 1U servers, several switches, plus the matching rails and loose cabling that all need to come out of a Miami colocation suite and make their way safely to my office in California. The job starts inside the rack: you’ll coordinate with onsite staff, power everything down, cleanly de-rack the hardware, and account for every rail and cable that belongs with each server.
I expect each server and switch to be properly packaged,, cushioned with foam or equivalent, and boxed or crated so there’s no metal-to-metal contact. Once everything is packed, arrange a single insured shipment; I confirmed I want full-value coverage for transit. The gear is already labeled on my end, so no additional tagging is needed.
Deliverables
• Confirmation photos at three points: in-rack before removal, fully packed, and handed off to the carrier
• Tracking information showing insurance value and destination
• A short checklist of serial numbers you pulled so I can reconcile at arrival
