Scrap Yard Operations Manager Needed -- 2

Job ID: 40027296

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

I need a seasoned scrap-yard professional who can take full ownership of day-to-day yard operations. You’ll meet incoming trucks, handle the receiving and unloading process, then move directly into classifying and sorting each load. Once material grades are confirmed, you’ll perform the first round of processing—cutting and resizing oversized pieces with our torch or shear and cleanly separating ferrous from non-ferrous streams so inventory is ready for sale or melt.

Hands-on experience in an active scrap metal yard is essential; this role is not for beginners. Please outline the specific yards or shifts you have run and highlight any safety or production targets you achieved.

Core responsibilities
• Receive and unload all incoming material.
• Classify and sort by grade and alloy.
• Cut, resize, and separate metals as required for downstream processing.

Tools on site include forklifts, lifting magnets, oxy-fuel torches, and a stationary shear; you should already be comfortable operating and caring for this equipment.

Expected deliverables at the end of each shift
1. Accurate inventory log in our spreadsheet.
2. Fully processed, segregated stock staged in designated bins.
3. Completed equipment maintenance checklist.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and can step straight into the role, I’m ready to hear how you’ll keep our yard running safely and efficiently.
