Music Is Life
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a new CD release ready to leave the factory and need an experienced distributor who can place physical stock in brick-and-mortar music stores. Your main task is to take finished discs from my manufacturer, manage any necessary warehousing, and coordinate shipping so retailers receive product on time and in perfect condition.
No mastering, duplication, or artwork support is needed—the discs are already pressed and packaged. I’m only looking for physical distribution and the full logistics that come with it: generating barcodes if required, creating packing slips, handling customs paperwork for overseas orders, tracking shipments, and issuing clear weekly sales and inventory reports (CSV or Excel preferred).
Deliverables
• Secure receipt and inventory of the initial 2,000-unit run
• Placement with at least ten targeted retail outlets (detail your network)
• Verified tracking numbers for every shipment
• First weekly sales report, with ongoing reporting schedule agreed in advance
• Clear process for returns or replenishment
The project is complete when the agreed quantity is on retail shelves and the first sales report is delivered. If you already serve indie labels and can move physical product efficiently, I’d love to hear how you’ll get these CDs into stores and keep the supply chain running smoothly.
