Land, Air, Sea and Rail
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I’m putting the pieces together for a new cargo and freight company that will specialise in international shipping. From day one I want to move goods seamlessly across land, air, sea and even rail, so the groundwork has to be precise, compliant and scalable.
I’m looking for a logistics professional who can translate that vision into an actionable launch package. The assignment spans market-ready strategy, operations design and the documentation that lenders, investors and regulators will expect.
Key areas I need covered:
• Route and carrier sourcing for all four modes, including rate-sheet templates and draft service-level agreements.
• End-to-end operating procedures—booking, handling, security, and exception management—ready for staff onboarding.
• International compliance and licensing checklist (INCOTERMS, customs, insurance, dangerous goods where relevant).
• Implementation roadmap for core tech (TMS/WMS and real-time tracking) that can be phased in as volume grows.
• High-level financial model that ties pricing, margins and capacity assumptions together.
Deliverables must be practical, clearly referenced, and delivered in editable formats (Word/Excel/PowerPoint or similar). If you have direct experience launching or restructuring a freight forwarder, please highlight it along with any sample SOPs or models you’re allowed to share.
