U-Haul Driver Lansing to Denver
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I’m moving from Lansing, Michigan to Denver, Colorado and need an experienced driver to handle a rented U-Haul truck for the one-way trip. I’ll be riding along in the cab, so real-time tracking or status calls aren’t necessary—we’ll communicate in person throughout the journey.
Scope of work
• Pick up the loaded U-Haul in Lansing on the agreed date.
• Drive safely and efficiently to Denver, following all traffic laws and U-Haul guidelines.
• Monitor and secure the load, with extra care for several fragile items noted in the manifest.
• Upon arrival, assist with unloading only. Local friends will help; I just need an extra set of hands to move boxes and fragile pieces into the apartment.
What I’m looking for
• Clean driving record and experience with 26-ft (or similar) box trucks.
• Familiarity with long-haul routes and basic vehicle checks—tire pressure, fluids, tie-downs.
• Reliability, good communication, and a professional, courteous attitude during the two-day trip.
Deliverables
1. Safe delivery of the truck and contents to my Denver address.
2. Help unloading all items into the new residence.
3. Return of truck keys and signed U-Haul paperwork at drop-off.
If you’re comfortable with long interstate drives and can treat my belongings with care, let’s set up the travel date and discuss any route preferences or overnight stops.
