Ocean & Logistics Freight Specialist (Junior / Specialist / Senior)
Ocean & Logistics Freight Specialists are experts when it comes to ocean freight and landside logistics.
Your responsibilities will include timely obtaining quotations form shipping lines, freight forwarders, truckers, warehouses and other logistics vendors; designing cost efficient logistics solutions and negotiations with the partners.
Junior – 0,5 -1 year; works with on-site training, requires supervision and support.
Specialist – 1-3 years; works independently based on inputs from manager based on the established procedures.
Senior – 3-5+ years; works independently and sets targets to increase profits, able to influence and drive the changes, create new procedures. Significant business impact & responsibility.
Your daily tasks will be:
- Procurement of ocean freight rates, space & services
- Procurement of other logistics services
- Daily communication with shipping lines and logistics vendors including obtaining quotes, space allocation, negotiations
- Sourcing of new vendors, meetings and maintaining internal contact lists
- Developing cost efficient logistics and bespoke solutions for the specific market
- Streamlining and improving of existing or development of new processes, while seeking to implement automation of existing processes
- Maintaining required updates of internal systems
- Leading disputes, claims and exception handling
- Acting as logistics / ocean freight subject matter expert in your area

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree as min / Senior year students (Junior Specialists)
- Related work experience: 1 year / 1-2 years / 3-5 years (Junior/Specialist/Senior)
- Knowladge of ocean export / import processes and regulation + logistics
- Good Office PC skills
