California Dispatcher for Van Loads
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
Securing time-sensitive perishable loads for my fleet of cargo vans and 26′ box trucks across California is the immediate objective. I run a locally focused carrier based in the state, and I need a sharp dispatcher who can keep the wheels turning every day by lining up refrigerated or otherwise perishable freight that fits our equipment.
Here’s what the work looks like: you will monitor DAT, Truckstop, and any other reliable load boards, build direct relationships with shippers and brokers, negotiate profitable rates, and slot the loads into our calendar so our drivers never sit idle. Real-time communication with both shipper and driver is essential—phone, text, and email updates must be prompt and clear to protect temperature-sensitive cargo and service levels.
I compensate hourly and layer an aggressive commission on every booked load, so the more freight you move, the more you earn. We can onboard you right away; my goal is to have you sourcing loads within 24-48 hours of hire.
Acceptance criteria
• Minimum two confirmed perishable loads per day for cargo vans or box trucks within California
• Rate confirmations and BOLs filed before pickup
• Driver routed, dispatched, and updated until POD received
• Zero missed appointments or temperature claims
If you thrive on fast turnarounds and know the California perishable market, you’ll find plenty of volume here and strong upside on commissions.
