I’m ready to move forward with a dedicated piece of logistics software that focuses exclusively on route optimization for our bus fleet. The goal is simple: calculate and serve up the most efficient routes in real time so our buses stay on schedule while cutting unnecessary mileage and fuel costs.
The software will be used directly on the buses, so a clean, distraction-free driver view is essential. At the same time, I’d like a companion dashboard that lets dispatchers or operations staff review suggested routes, override them when needed, and pull basic performance reports. I’m flexible on whether this ends up as a web-based, desktop, or mobile solution; I’m more interested in a rock-solid algorithm and an interface that works reliably in the field.
