AI-Powered Staff Cost Calculator
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are looking for a full-stack developer (or small team) to build an AI-powered staff cost calculator using Next.js. The goal is to help businesses compare the cost of hiring offshore staff versus local hires in markets like the US, Australia, and Europe. The tool will function as both a lead generation funnel and a conversion point for our Employer of Record (EOR) services.
The tool should do the following:
Let users input multiple job titles using free text
Allow users to specify quantity and experience level for each role
Use AI (like OpenAI) to map the job title to a standardized role
Pull or estimate salaries across different countries
Compare costs between four offshore markets (Philippines, Vietnam, Colombia, Mexico) and five onshore markets (USA, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, and Europe)
Apply cost layers such as:
$400 per month per employee for our EOR service fee
Optional 18 percent one-time recruitment fee (can be toggled on or off and waived if they check out)
Optional $150 per month hot desk
Optional $400 per month office space
User flow should work as follows:
The user enters job titles, quantities, and experience levels
The user clicks a button to calculate
Before seeing the results, they are prompted to enter contact details including name, email, company name, and optionally website
Once they submit the form, they can view results and we should receive all their inputs including job roles, quantities, experience levels, source and comparison countries, and timestamp
The results screen should show:
Monthly and annual total cost for each role and geography
Total cost savings in both dollars and percentage
A call to action to check out and start hiring today
If they proceed, they get free recruitment and only pay the monthly fee
Checkout can use Stripe or a similar payment integration
Technology requirements:
Frontend built with Next.js
Styling using Tailwind CSS or similar
AI integration using OpenAI API or equivalent for job mapping and fallback salary estimation
Salary data can come from APIs like Talent.com, scraping sources like Glassdoor or JobStreet, or a CSV upload fallback
Form data should be sent to our email, webhook, or CRM like HubSpot or Zapier
Hosting on Vercel is preferred
Deliverables include:
Fully working and responsive web app
Source code via GitHub
Live deployment
Working form submission
AI salary estimation logic with fallback data option
Optional CSV or PDF export of cost summary
Ideal developer:
Has experience building in Next.js and working with APIs
Comfortable with OpenAI or other AI integrations
Has previously built calculators or quote tools
Understands scraping or salary data APIs
Bonus if familiar with EOR, HRTech, or offshore hiring
