Senior Trust Litigation Associate

I am lead counsel on an active trust-litigation matter pending in Los Angeles Superior Court and would like to bring in a seasoned colleague to share the load. You must have deep, hands-on experience in trust litigation—seven or more years in the trenches, handling beneficiaries’ disputes, trustee misconduct claims, accountings, surcharge petitions, and related motions.

Here is what I will immediately rely on you to handle:

• Court appearances: argue motions, status conferences, and, if needed, ex parte applications in downtown L.A.
• Discovery responses and motions: draft, propound, and oppose written discovery; prepare meet-and-confer letters; move to compel or defend against motions to compel.
• Legal research and analysis: produce concise research memoranda and incorporate the findings into pleadings and briefs.

California bar admission is mandatory, and prior experience in the Probate Division of LASC is strongly preferred. Much of the drafting and research can be performed remotely; hearings will require in-person attendance.
