Draft Final Submission for Commercial Suit (Defendant Side) – Legal Writer Required
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled legal professional to draft a detailed and well-reasoned written submission for a commercial suit currently at the final argument stage before the District Court, New Delhi. The submission is to be filed by the Director of the Defendant company (first-person, factual voice) and should address the core themes of the defense while citing appropriate Indian case law and procedural rules.
We will provide the key 10 legal arguments/issues, background documents, and factual records. Your role is to frame these arguments coherently, strengthen them with citations from Supreme Court and High Court judgments, and present them in a manner suitable for court filing.
Required Skillset:
Strong command over civil procedure, especially Order XXXVII CPC and the Commercial Courts Act, 2015
Experience drafting court submissions, written arguments, and affidavits
Excellent legal research skills – must be able to identify and cite relevant case law
Ability to write in first-person voice (Director) while maintaining legal professionalism
Familiarity with evidence law, especially Section 65-B and admissibility of documents
Understanding of ledger/account disputes, cheque misuse, and procedural objections
Role Expectations:
Read and understand the commerical suit case
Review factual summary and arguments (we will supply)
Draft a comprehensive, structured submission from the Defendant's perspective
Integrate 10 defense issues and relevant Indian case law with proper citations
Ensure formatting is court-appropriate, persuasive, and clear
Optional: Suggest improvements or additional angles to strengthen the defense
Prior experience with Delhi Commercial Courts or Order 37 suits is a plus.
