Attorney needed, FedEx case

Job ID: 36606709

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I utilize a consolidation and repackaging service for all of my purchases made in the US. This service is responsible for forwarding the packages to any location worldwide. In this particular instance, the consolidated package was meant to be delivered to Thailand but it failed to arrive.

According to FedEx's tracking system, my package was lost from the time of pick-up at the origin, in Wallington, NJ. Despite my requests for them to trace the package, FedEx was unsuccessful in locating it. There are speculations that my package may have been stolen by a dishonest FedEx employee or left unattended on the tarmac.

Regrettably, the shipment was not insured. The consolidation business did not offer me any insurance options, only providing a shipping quote.

Despite my numerous attempts to contact them, the business has been largely unresponsive, and FedEx has refused to accept any liability. I am able to provide evidence of the package's value since all items were meticulously tracked from the original sellers (like eBay, Amazon, etc.) until the moment they were handed over to FedEx for pickup.

The cumulative value of the items in the lost package is approximately 2,200 USD.

International air conventions generally stipulate that the air carrier is liable for any cargo entrusted to them. However, FedEx's Terms & Conditions are not worded in this way. Instead, they limit their liability to 100 USD unless additional shipping insurance is purchased.

I am left at a loss here. Looking for an attorney that feels confident to win this case based on the negligence shown.
