(shell/bash) Script to fetch a text file from a server

Hi,
I need a small script, that runs on a linux server that will fetch files from other servers.
I'll specify the files to download in a text file, and the script will have to download these files once a day. (cron)
the files should be saved with the following name pattern : [YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS]-[DOMAINNAME].[TYPE]
the files will usually be text files, and it might be that the domainname contains specialchar like "ä"
