restart Mysqld (mariadb) and / or fix if needed

I'm trying to restart MySQd / Mariadb on my server, however none of the commands are working... typically
sudo service mysqld restart
will work, not now it's like freezing, i'm running it through ssh, I need someone to fix it and make it work.
