Write a Linux startup script, provide a link to the prepared OS img file
Budget: €8 – €30 EUR
We need to register some Raspberry PI systems with our service. For this we want to hook them up to network, power, keyboard and display, insert an SD card, wait some seconds, remove the card and go on to the next system.
Your task:
Create a Raspberry Pi OS Lite image wich runs the following tasks:
The complete flow must run at startup and must only require one key stroke by the user.
At boot time of the OS
1. Automatically log in with root access (because of step 7)
2. Read the CPU ID from the board
3. Read the mac address from the onboard ethernet
4. Call an API: https://[host]/api/va/pool/[cpu id]/[MAC address]
5. Print the server response on the screen
6. Write 'place this device in the pool after you shut down the system by pressing ENTER'
7. Shut down the board
You are free to use bash, python or golang.
The following is immanent, but just to mention:
- the OS must use DHCP to get an IP address and DNS
- Location is Europe/Berlin
- Keyboard is German/Germany Standard
You deliver
- a small description,
○ where the relevant scripts have been placed,
○ how you implemented the auto-login
- a downlaod link to the SD card image of the created OS
