cPanel Account Setup & Site Migration
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
cpanel account setup and migration from old to new server
Old Server Details:
- whm/ cpanel version: v96.0.15
- MySQL version: 5.7.44
- Site1 (Magento site) PHP version: 5.5
- Site2 (Cake PHP Site) PHP version: 5.6
New Server Details:
- Server already have around 20 sites working on it. mostly Wordpress and Laravel PHP sites.
- whm/ cpanel version: 126.0.10
- MySQL 8.0.41
- PHP versions: 7.3 to 8.2
I seek expert's suggestions on how to achieve this since I think old sites will not work on the new database version.
Old server is working fine as of now. But its a dedicated server so we pay a lot for its monthly cost + a lot for cpanel 100 user license on it. We want to migrate the sites from old server and save the monthly additional costs.
Option 1: we can may be install old PHP version on the new server but use a small another server/ VPS to setup the old database.
Option 2: Setup a new VPS with small cpanel license and setup old PHP versions and Old database versions on it
Option 3: If possible. setup an old database version along with the current database version on cpanel. I am unsure if this is possible, but may be it is possible.
Looking to get this done today/ tomorrow.
