Upgrade/Fix docker-mailserver
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
We have a very small docker mailserver (like 10 accounts) running https://github.com/docker-mailserver/docker-mailserver on Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS for some years.
Everything works fine but some clients (Outlook, Apple Mail on MacOs) can't open encrypted connections to the postfix SMTP server. Other clients (Apple Mail IOS, Thunderbird) work fine. Encrypted IMAP works fine with every client on every platform.
We suspect that the reason some clients can not connect lies somewhere in the TLS configuration. Right now, only TLS 1.3 is offered (see screenshot of testssl.sh)
We need you to:
Update the docker container, docker-compose.yml and setup.sh, mailserver.env to the current state of https://github.com/docker-mailserver/docker-mailserver leaving the current mail accounts working
Do what it takes so that M$ Outlook clients can connect with encryption to the SMTP (Change the TLS level to intermediate?)
You will receive ssh root access to the server. Please see attached screenshots for more information about the docker environment and the current TLS situation.
