Ubuntu Sound Card: Zero Output

I'm currently struggling with my Ubuntu sound card; there is no sound output whatsoever. To combat this, I've already checked all settings and rebooted the system numerous times, but it remains silent. I haven't added any new software or made changes to the system before this issue arose.
