Job Description:
The Systems Engineer is a hands-on position with the expertise to perform and lead the process methodology of installing, configuring, and monitoring systems and software. Responsible for providing operational leadership to a broad range of IT disciplines, including system performance and resiliency, network performance, security administration, and operations in physical/virtual and Cloud Windows and Linux environments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills Required
• 7+ years of experience administering Windows and/Linux/ Server operating systems.
• 3+ years of experience planning and administering Azure/AWS large-scale virtualized environments.
• Possesses comprehensive working knowledge of Linux operating system, especially process, and system monitoring facilities.
• Strong WAN and LAN configuration and troubleshooting skills.
• Exhibits mature organization and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and concisely technical information to non-technical staff, both orally and in writing.
Desired:
• Fluency in at least one scripting language, shell scripting, and experience with object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience developing automation tools and frameworks for performance measurement and analysis.
• Project management expertise
• Experience in running presentations to internal audiences
• Team-player, Detail-oriented, Initiative to learn
Education Requirement:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study
• A combination of experience and/or education can be substituted for a degree
Desired:
• Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study
