Server Setup for JS Library Webapp
Budget: ₹1,250 – ₹2,500 INR
I'm looking for a seasoned server administrator to set up a dedicated server for container-based provisioning. My web application will be a JavaScript library-based app, such as Node, Next.js, or React.
Key requirements:
- Proficient in Linux server administration, as the operating system is not yet defined.
- Experience with container platforms like Docker or Kubernetes since I'm yet to determine my preference.
Operating System: You can use Ubuntu Server, CentOS, or any other Linux distribution of your choice.
Web Server: Nginx or Apache HTTP Server.
Git: Version control system to manage your website's source code.
Node.js: If you're hosting static sites or using JavaScript-based build tools.
Let's Encrypt: For SSL/TLS certificates to secure your websites.
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions for automating deployments.
Monitoring Tools: Prometheus, Grafana, or similar for monitoring server health and performance.
Deployment Automation:
Ansible:
Ansible is a powerful automation tool that allows you to automate deployment tasks, such as provisioning servers, installing dependencies, and deploying applications. Write Ansible playbooks to define deployment tasks and execute them as part of your CI/CD pipeline.
Docker:
Docker allows you to containerize your applications, providing consistency across different environments and simplifying deployment. Build Docker images for your Next.js, Node.js, and React-based applications and deploy them using container orchestration tools like Docker Swarm or Kubernetes.
Server Configuration Management Tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef):
Use server configuration management tools to automate server provisioning and configuration. Define infrastructure as code using Puppet manifests, Chef recipes, or similar tools to ensure consistent server configurations.
the server need to be setup for multi-tenant so it required the basic tool like virtualadmin or something to manage and deploy the entire system and interface to manage and control all the stuff over server.
the setup will be done on single server for now and it can required a feature to get expanded with single click, so that purpose of the cloud get achieved.
Open stak can be used as well ( just a reference) if anything else will work on fly then we will go with that.
if compare what kind of service it will be, then this can be similar like vercel or netlify based website and app hosting
Your task will be setting up the server considering routine maintenance, security, scalability, and resilience to handle high traffic. Thanks in advance for your bids.
