Hello there,
We are having some suspect emails on our business server being received. We are worried our server or perhaps email server may be compromised. could be simple authentication issue. There is definitely some phishing emails being sent from our server out.
We need a security / sys admin to take a look. Have some messages saved, where phising links have been inserted into the email, and the email header is saying it has come from our domain/and server. We are worried our customers may be receiving these emails. Saying it has been sent by our server, but also from an IP we don't recognize and said IP has appeared in Google as sending out phishing emails. You can take a look at the header information to determine the issue.
Server access and troubleshooting must be performed via team viewer via access to my PC, with me present.
1. Determine if server, email server, plesk, or wordpress install is compromised. (Must check all)
2. Determine source of spam emails, inspect some saved .msg from outlook, and if they are being sent to our customers.
3. Determine how this has happened. Fix it, and implement solution to ensure it cannot happen again.
